In Tehran, students gathered at the University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, Shahid Beheshti University, Iran University of Science and Technology, Khajeh Nasir University, Alzahra University, the University of Art, Soore University, and Pars University of Architecture and Art.
At the University of Tehran, social sciences students turned their sit-in into a large rally in the central courtyard, chanting slogans such as “Woman, Life, Freedom, Iranian Republic,” “Free the imprisoned student,” “Free political prisoners,” and “We swear by the blood of our comrades, we will stand until the end.”
At the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tehran, students staged a sit-in and chanted slogans such as “No monarchy, no supreme leadership, no Rajavi’s reactionary rule” and “Woman, Life, Freedom.”
At Sharif University, students gathered for several days in a row and sang the anthem “Ey Iran” together. Chants like “Poverty, corruption, rising prices, we will fight until overthrow” and “Until the cleric is buried, this homeland will not be a homeland” echoed across the campus.
Another gathering took place at Shahid Beheshti University, where students called on others to join them, chanting, “We don’t want spectators, join us.” At Iran University of Science and Technology and Khajeh Nasir University, reports described violent clashes involving Basij forces. At Khajeh Nasir, according to student reports, one student was seriously injured during an attack by Basij members.
The University of Art in Tehran also witnessed a large protest, where students chanted slogans such as “Death to the dictator,” “Freedom, freedom, freedom,” and “For every one person killed, a thousand stand behind them.” In Mashhad, students at Sajjad University gathered despite attempts by campus security to block the protest, chanting “Freedom.”
Despite the heavy security presence and large numbers of Basij forces on campuses, the fourth day of protests continued with strong anti-regime slogans and demands for freedom. From “This year is the year of blood; Seyed Ali will be overthrown” to “Woman, Life, Freedom,” the message from students is clear: these protests are not temporary; they are part of an ongoing movement within Iran’s universities.
