Welcome to “The Fire Next Time”, a platform driven by a passion for sharing untold stories and insights. My journey in creating this space was deeply inspired by James Baldwin’s powerful work, “The Fire Next Time”. Like Baldwin, who eloquently addressed themes of identity, race, and the human condition, this blog aims to be a beacon for open, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable discussions on similar issues. The title is not just a homage to Baldwin but a commitment to continue his legacy of speaking truth to power and advocating for societal change.

I am deeply thankful for your willingness to offer financial support to this independent, ad-free, and self-funded initiative. Your contributions are more than just financial aid; they are a vote of confidence in the mission and vision of “The Fire Next Time”. As this platform is a labor of love rather than a job, your support is vital in sustaining my efforts in writing, translating, and interviewing.

My blogging journey began in 2005 from Iran. Facing censorship and removal from Iranian platforms, I relocated my blog to an international platform like WordPress.com. During my 8-year asylum-seeking journey, my blogging was intermittent, but my commitment to sharing stories never faded. Today, I write in English and aspire to bridge language barriers by translating posts into various languages. Your help with translations would be invaluable.

Beyond blogging, I’ve contributed to reporting on Iran’s situation for Persian-language media outlets abroad, collaborating with platforms like based Amsterdam’s Radio Zamaneh, Khodnevis.org, and Akhbar-Rooz.com, run by exiled leftist journalists and activists.

Thank you for being part of this journey. “The Fire Next Time” is more than a blog; it’s a promise to carry the torch of critical thought, empathy, and activism, lighting the way towards a better future. Together, we can continue to shed light on stories that matter.
